About Let Me Tell My Story…
Have you seen this hashtag #LMTMS on social media or around the city of Chicago? Two young talented artists from Chicago’s inner city did not let their adversities slow them down. They chose to use their struggles as a positive outlet to express their talent while achieving their college degrees. Jasper Noland, a professional barber, and Mark Thomas, a tattoo artist, and clothing designer have mutual friends who were inspired by how goal-driven they are. Having influenced their peers with ambition and passion about their craft, they decided to marry the two concepts to create the documentary, Let Me Tell My Story.
The mission of their stories is to help make the youth conscience of what their hidden talents are and to nurture them with vigor! Not to be afraid to express themselves through what you love, your gift to the world. Teaching peers to use their gift to influence, inspire and make a difference inside their community is the goal. By telling our story, we wish to ensure hope to our generation and equip them with the power to influence their friends and family. Let Me Tell My Story affords us the opportunity to express how creativity, hard work, determination, and perseverance can positively shape the lives of youth. This is a cultural documentary that incorporates interludes of spoken word, poetry, comical skits, singing rapping, and painting.
